Holistic practice is defined as a health and wellness service that is provided with the understanding that the complexity of the human condition requires an integrated and participatory service model to successfully reach optimal health and well-being. Holistic practitioners look for root causes and prioritize prevention and maintenance. United HP members include, but are not limited to, doctors of integrated medicine, psychology, naturopathy, dentistry and chiropractic, holistic nurses, as well as providers of nutrition services, yoga, massage, Pilates, acupuncture, energy work, homeopathy, herbal medicine, hypnosis, life coaching, and more. Soon this website will hold three connected directories: health conditions; holistic practice options; and holistic service providers. Our initial website launch includes a directory of providers. We expect to have the other two directories completed well before the end of summer 2007. Please visit our News Articles for information on how to choose a practitioner that is right for you, and how to understand the various practices that are available for you and your family. Always check with your doctor before changing your regular health regimen, and donąt be shy feel free to ask many, many questions. You are the best resource for your own health and wellness. |
