United HPA is targeted to the “Sandwich Generation,” people concerned with both children and aging parents. Consumer choice and protection are high priorities with United HPA. This website not only provides a practitioner directory, it is designed to empower consumers to make informed decisions about their healthcare with services that best serve their unique needs.  It is also made clear throughout the site that consumers must check with their primary physicians before changing their regular healthcare regimen.

 

Demographics

 

The demographics of site visitors has not yet been tested, however a survey of local holistic practitioners shows typical holistic consumers are women between 25 and 55 years of age, professionals with families, with middle to upper-middle class incomes.

 

We've received over 100,000 hits the last two months in a row, and were visited from inside the US at 68% and either undetermined or outside the US at 32%. Countries visiting the United HPA website include: Russia, Switzerland, Germany, Seychelles Islands (Africa), and Canada.

 

Site Marketing

 

United HPA is doing a great job driving traffic to this website, with additional campaigns planned ahead. Beginning May 28, 2007, we launched a 4-month radio campaign to the NPR/WAMC audience, which has similar target demographics with an average $75,000 annual income. Those spots will air five times a week in NY, VT, MA, and CT rotating during morning and late afternoon prime drive time.  

 

We have a quarter-page ad in the new Capital Region Chronogram Magazine beginning in July for three months. We also advertise in Healing Springs Magazine with locations in NY, VT, and MA.

 

Additionally, we have launched an aggressive Internet grassroots campaign on forums such as MySpace.com, Zaadz.net, Meetup.com, Craigslist.com, ByRegion.net and more.

 

Banner Advertisements

We have five banner ad sizes available, some with home page options. All ads rotate with no more than nine other ads (total of 10 ads per space).
 
The Brand Horizon Footer is the exception. This space rotates with no more than four ads total (only one left this year!), and is tied to the website footer, thereby appearing on ALL website pages (over 150 pages currently).
 
Six-month minimum contract required. Ad content is subject to approval, and must be web-ready. Minimum guaranteed impressions of 1000 per month. (Should impressions fall below that, your contract will be extended at no extra charge until you've received the minimum guaranteed impressions.) Ad impression and click-through statistics included.
